About

This is the home of AndyL aka Andreas Langegger, a Web 2.0 developer and Semantic Web advocate living in Vienna, Austria.

How I finally got there...

Since 1996 I'm somehow addicted to the internet and the World Wide Web. After graduating the grammar school with a special focus on natural sciences in 1998, I finished the studies of Media technology and design at the Upper Austrian University Hagenberg with distinction in 2003 and decided to sell my computer and stuff to study Economics in Vienna ;-).

Yeah, it was a relaxing year, just to learn more about the physical (real) world, society, economics, and politics and I also got to know my girl friend Claudia these days. But, I really missed my computer soon, bought my first laptop and decided to learn more about algorithms and hard stuff at the university.

Since 2004 I'm a PhD student at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and since 2005 I'm working on a Grid and Semantic Web research project (here is more on that).
